Sonatine for Trombone and Piano by Cam Millar is a new work written for Dave Grayson while studying at SUNY Purchase. The premier performance was part of the fulfillment for his Master's degree while studying with James Pugh.

The work of about 5 minutes in length contains elements and influences of Hindemith, impressionism and a sense of "jazzy urgency". The work is in an A-B-A form with a calm and introspective introduction returning in the concluding bars. Suitable for advanced musicians.
