Bloch's Prayer composed in 1924 was originally written for the Cello and is one of three movements from his work From Jewish Life. It's Hebraic sounds are perfectly transmitted on the Violin in this beautiful arrangement by Gordon and Rebecca Cherry. The work is around 3 minutes in length and sets a deeply religious mood; reflective, pleading and very expressive. For a moderately advanced player and playable by most college students.
