Extracts from Anton Bruckner's Adagio from Symphony No. 6 have been beautifully arranged by Randall Malmstrom for 5-part Trombone Ensemble.

The arrangement contains passages with music of deep yearning, soaring themes, a somber funeral march and a beautiful conclusion of complete serenity.

The instrumentation is for alto trombone, 2 tenor trombones, bass trombone and contrabass trombone (the work is dedicated to contrabass artist John Ohnstad).

This work of almost 7-minutes is suitable for advanced performers.
