Richard Strauss's orchestral showpiece Fantasy from Die Frau ohne Schatten (The Woman Without a Shadow) was written after the 1919 premier of the opera. There is a magnificent baritone vocal solo taken from the opera that Strauss inserted into the Fantasy and has now been arranged for Solo Trombone and Trombone Ensemble by Kevin Dombrowski. A great way to showcase a star performer in your group.
