Sleigh Ride by American composer, Leroy Anderson was ironically composed during the heat-wave of the summer of 1946 and then first performed a couple years later in 1948, conducted by Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra. It is a cheerful work that has continuously been one of the top 10 Christmas songs ever.
