Massaino

Tiburtio Massaino, an Italian late-Renaissance composer and Augustinian friar from Cremona (c. 1550-1609) and is mainly known for his three Canzonas from 1608. He moved frequently and served under various noblemen in central Europe before returning to Italy for his final years.

He wrote sacred, secular and instrumental music in the Franco-Flemish polyphonic tradition and eventually emerged into the early Baroque.
