Details

Ralph Sauer has arranged Three Sonatas for Trombone and Piano (Harpsichord) by Domenico Scarlatti. Born in Naples in 1685, Scarlatti was a Baroque composer but was influential in the development of the Classical style. He is mainly known for his 555 keyboard sonatas mostly while in service of the Portuguese and Spanish royal families.

The Three Sonatas have been chosen by Mr. Sauer for their contrasting styles and beauty. The two outside works are dance-like and lively, while the inner sonata is a beautiful lyrical Andante.

These works are total about 8 minutes in length without repeats and are suitable for advanced performers.
