Declan Wilcox is a trombonist and educator based in New York City, where he plays chamber music, classical music, new music, jazz, and Broadway shows. He is a member of the Riverside Brass Quintet and has performed with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Orchestra Lumos, and the American Symphony Orchestra. In 2025, he held the chair for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

An advocate of new music, Wilcox seeks to expand the brass chamber repertoire through commissions and arrangements. He has premiered works by composers including Lila Meretzky, Harriet Steinke, and Addison Maye-Saxon, and has arranged a number of works for brass chamber ensembles.

Wilcox earned both his Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Education degrees at theUniversity of Colorado. He earned his Master of Music degree at the Yale School of Music,where he was awarded the John Swallow Prize.
