Chausson

Before going into music Ernest Chausson studied to become a lawyer. He then began attending classes and at the some time befriended Vincent d'Indy. His music is highly individual but shows influences of Wagner and Franck. His early death left us with only 39 works. But the quality is high and they continue to pop up in the concert hall.
