Originally from Israel, Ohad studied trombone with Gordon Cherry in Vancouver, Canada and John Marcellus at the Eastman School of Music. After his undergraduate degree at Eastman, Ohad played both tenor and bass trombone during his service in the Israel Defense Forces Army Band followed by a position in the Israel Opera Orchestra. He then traveled to Germany to play with the Philharmonie der Nationen where he met his future wife. After several years Ohad decided to pursue other interests in the field of software design. He now resides in Vancouver with his wife and two sons and runs a software-driven organizational effectiveness consulting practice.
