Arban

Jean-Baptiste Arban was the first famous cornet virtuoso. He also taught at the famous Paris Conservatoire. His method is often called the "Trumpeter's Bible" and is still often used to this day. Arban's most famous solo is the Variations of the Carnival of Venice and is a great showpiece for cornet soloists.
