Concone
Giuseppe Concone (1810-1861) was a renowned Italian singer and music pedagogue of the Romantic Period. Having been born and educated in Turin, he moved to Paris in 1837 where he became a highly reputed vocal coach and piano instructor. While in France he wrote several masterful collections of vocalises and vocal exercises which remain a staple for voice students today. More lately in the 20th Century, instrumentalists have discovered this body of literature and have transcribed these exercises for every possible instrument for their inherent benfit in teaching musical expression and lyricism.
