Espy

Christopher Espy holds a doctorate of musical arts from Rutgers University. He is an active orchestral freelancer in Virginia, having performed with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra. Espy additionally performs with swing bands and theater pit orchestras and is the principal trombonist of the Tidewater Winds.

Espy serves on the music faculties of Christopher Newport University and Chowan University. He has been published in the International Trombone Journal and is an active member of the International Trombone Association. In July 2021, he will premiere a new work by Maxwell Tfirn at the International Trombone Festival.
