Korngold
Erich Korngold was an Austrian-born composer and conductor who became one of the most important composers in Hollywood history. As a child prodigy his career rocketed until he was conducting and composing for major operas and orchestras in Austria and Germany. By age 34, he was a professor of music at the Vienna State Academy.
He moved to the U.S. in 1934 and began writing movies for the big Hollywood studios, winning Oscars for his brilliant work.
