LaChance

Dr. Marc LaChance is currently an Associate Professor of Music at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, where he teaches wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, jazz history and music theory. Dr. LaChance received a Bachelor of Music Education degree at the University of Northern Colorado, a Master of Music from Bowling Green State University (OH) and a Doctor of Music Arts from the University of Illinois. Dr. LaChance has had a long and varied career in music, including positions at Hastings College (Hastings, NE), Eastern New Mexico University, and public schools in Colorado, Minnesota and Michigan.

Dr. LaChance remains busy as a clinician and adjudicator. During recent summers he has served as an administrator and trombone instructor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan.

Dr. LaChance has performed as part of the Continental Trombone Quartet with the U.S. Army Band in Washington, D.C., the Toledo Symphony, Denver Chamber Orchestra, Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, the National Repertory Orchestra, Classic Jazz Quartet, Epic Brass, Duluth-Superior Symphony and the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra.
