Marcello-Alessandro

Alessandro Marcello was born in Venice, the son of a wealthy family. His more well-known brother, Benedetto, also a composer.

Alessandro, a contemporary of Albinoni, is regarded as a very competent composer, but with a small output. His best-known work is the Concerto for Oboe in D minor, op. 1.
