Schoenberg
Austrian born Arnold Schoenberg was one of the most influential composers of the 20th-century. His 12-tone technique approach to harmony and development was taken up by not only his many students, but by several generations of musicians. He is associated with the "expressionist movement" and a leader of the "Second Viennese School". He move to the United States in 1934 to escape the Nazis who labeled his music as degenerate.
