The opera, Prince Igor written by Alexander Borodin was first performed in 1890 after many years of delayIt is possibly his greatest and boldest work with many beautiful melodies coming forth, especially the Chorus and Dance of the Polovetsian Maidens from Act II. The music has a mysterious Eastern sound which is very captivating. There is nothing like this written for Horn and Piano and Mr. Sauer’s arrangement is wonderful.

This work is about 7 minutes in length for advanced performers.
