Monteverdi - Lamento d'Arianna for Trombone Quintet by iTromboni
Monteverdi's Lamento d'Arianna was first composed in 1614 as a five-voice madrigal. He reworked it a few more times over the years, showing up eventually as a sacred hymn. It is one of his signature works and expresses indignation, anger, sorrow, fear, self-pity, desolation and self-pity (Wikipedia).
