Drawn to a career in music, Stephanie Plautz pursued an undergraduate degree in Music Composition from the University of North Texas, graduating in the Spring of 2022. Since then, she has also participated in the Wizarding School for Composers in the Spring of 2023. Since then, Stephanie has received accolades and awards, from great performances of her orchestra piece The Warmth in Yearning by the Concord Chamber Orchestra in Wisconsin to being involved with the Women Composers Festival of Hartford.
Currently, Stephanie teaches as a private music lesson teacher to tuba and euphonium students across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Stephanie has also taught at the Seattle Cascades in 2023 and the Guardians in 2024 as a brass technician.
With experience in teaching and composing, Stephanie is able to bring a unique approach to music education and new compositions.
In her free time, Stephanie loves hanging out with her husband, petting dogs, going on runs, and hiking.
