Tcherepnin

Nicolai Tcherepnin was a Russian composer, pianist and conductor born in St. Petersburg in 1873. His sons and grandsons are composers as well. He was a very talented composer and studied with Rimsky-Korsakov, but graduated with a degree in law at the insistence of his father.

He became an important conductor and also was the head of the Music Conservatory in St. Petersburg.
