Regina caeli, Ch. 49 by Giovanni Gabrieli is a sacred 12-part Marian antiphonal choral work primarily sung at Easter. It is part of Gabrieli's Sacrae Symphoniae collection from 1597 in the late Renaissance style. Venice's St. Mark's Basilica served as the inspiration for this series of works by placing chorus and instrumentalists in opposing galleries and giving the audience its first experience of "stereophonic music".

Gabrieli's glorious Regina caeli shuttles back and forth between the stately polyphonic duple meter and the lively dance-like triple meter Alleluia sections ending in a great climax.

Jeff Reynolds has expertly arranged this moving work for a 13-part antiphonal Trombone Choir and it is suitable for advanced-intermediate performers making it perfect for Easter services.

Instrumentation is for 2 alto trombones (opt.), 7 tenor trombones, 3 bass trombones and 1 contrabass trombone (opt.).
