Sche ne vmerla Ukraina  composed in the 19th century by Mykhailo Verbytsky became the official national anthem of Ukraine in 1992 shortly after the downfall of the former Soviet Union. As well, the song was the anthem of the Ukrainian People's Republic used in the first half of the 20th century, during unsuccessful attempts to gain independence from the Russian Empire, Poland and Austria-Hungary.

This fine arrangement by Keith Terrett is one of many anthems he has done for brass quintet. Instrumentation is for a standard brass quintet of 2 Trumpets in B-flat, Horn in F, Trombone bass clef and Tuba.
