He is a leading professional Trombonist in North America, having performed as Principal Trombonist of the Vancouver Symphony, and the CBC Radio Orchestra. Extracts from Anton Bruckner's Adagio of Symphony No. 3 have been arranged by Randall Malmstrom for 10-part Brass Ensemble. Symphony No. 3 has been subtitled the "Wagner Symphony". Bruckner was a devotee of Wagner and was so very impressed with him and his music that he dedicated this work to him. They became lifelong friends.

This work demarcates a great maturation in Bruckner's compositional output and is a musical springboard to his later masterpieces.

Randall Malmstom has brilliantly arranged selected sections of this great movement for a 10-part Brass Ensemble scored for 2 Trumpets, 4 Horns, 3 Trombones and Tuba.

It is appropriate for advanced performers and about 6 minutes in length.
