The Fanfare from Le Martyre de Saint Sébastien for Brass Choir and Timpani is a sophisticated and brilliant work by Claude Debussy from his incidental music for the 1911 mystery play written for the famous actress Ida Rubenstein by the Italian author Gabriele D'Annunio, The Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian. The Fanfare is taken from Part III of the work and is titled Le Concile des faux dieux (the Council of the false gods).

Charles Decker has done a fantastic job of editing the work for performance.

It is appropriate for advanced performers. The instrumentation is for 4 Trumpets in B-flat, 4 Horns in F, 3 Trombones, Tuba and Timpani.
