Das Rheingold is the introductory work from Wagner's monumental Ring Cycle. In it, many of the most important leitmotifs from the Cycle are first heard. Randall Malmstrom's wonderful arrangement of Excerpts from Das Rheingold for 12-part Brass Ensemble and Timpani presents a number of the most famous of these leitmotifs heard in the original brass parts from the opera, including the famous Finale.

This 5-minute arrangement is appropriate for advanced performers. Instrumentation is for: 3 Trumpets in C, 4 Horns, 2 Tenor Trombones, Bass Trombone, Contrabass Trombone (optional), Tuba and Timpani.
